Tomato Bread Toast


Ingredients:
Bread slices 6
Tomatoes 3
Rice flour 1 cup
Curd 1 cup
Green chillies 3
Ginger ½ inch
Ghee or oil 3 to 6 teaspoons
Salt as needed

Preparation:
1. Cut tomatoes and green chillies into pieces. In a mixie add  rice flour, tomato pieces, green chilli pieces,ginger pieces salt and curd. Make it into medium consistency batter.
2. Heat a pan and lightly toast the bread on both sides. Spread the batter on one side. Gently flip it over to the other side. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of oil along the circumference of bread. Turn the flame to medium flame. When it is fully roasted. Serve hot with ketchup.

Spicy bread toast


Ingredients:
Bread slices 4
Karapodi 4 teaspoons
Besan 2 teaspoons
Ghee 2 teaspoons


Preparation:
1. Heat a flat pan and put the bread slices on it. Slightly toast the bread slices.
2. After they are toasted, cut them into triangular pieces.
3. Spread ghee with hand and sprinkle besan over it. Spread karapodi over it. Click here for the recipe of karapodi.
4. Gently flip it over to other side and toast for 1 minute in low flame.
5. Serve hot.

Bread Mixed Vegetable Manchurian


INGREDIENTS
Bread slices 4
Carrot 2 medium sized
Beans10 to 12
Spring onions 2 medium
Green peas 1 cup
Onions 2 medium sized
Garlic cloves 6
Ginger garlic paste 1½ teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Garam masala ½ teaspoon
Potatoes 2 medium sized
Corn flour ½ cup
Curd 2 table spoons
Soya sauce 1 table spoon
Chopped corainder leaves handful
Oil for deep frying
Salt as needed

Preparation:
1. Cut the vegetables into small pieces. Cook the potatoes and vegetables. Mash the potatoes and add the cooked vegetables and mix well. Mash the vegetables. Add bread slices and curd this makes  bread slices soft. Mix well. Add corn flour, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and garam masala. Make it into a soft dough.
2. Leave it aside for about a hour it is good if you marinate for 4 to 6 hours. Make them into small balls. Heat a pan add oil for deep frying and gently drop the balls when they are cooked on all sides and turn golden brown in color. Keep them aside.
3. Chop onions into small pieces, green chillies length wise, spring onion into circular pieces, garlic into small pieces. Heat a pan and add 2 table spoons of oil after oil is heated add the onions, garlic, spring onions and green chillies. When the onions turn translucent in color. Add soya sauce and mix well. Cook for in low flame for 5 minutes. Add very little salt and mix well. Add this to the manchurian balls bowl and mix well.
 4. Garnish with cilantro or choped coriander leaves.

Tomato sandwiches

Ingredients:
Bread slices 8
Tomatoes 2
Butter / Peanut butter for greasing
Pepper powder 1 teaspoon
Salt as needed

 Preparation:
1. Trim the edges of the bread slices and grease them with butter. Cut the bread into triangular pieces.
2. Cut tomatoes into thin slices. Place the tomato pieces on the bread.
3. Sprinkle pepper powder and salt on the bread slices.
4. Place them in the sandwich maker and toast them on both sides.

Bread Bonda


Ingredients :
Bread 6 slices
Potatoes 3
Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
Urad dal 1 teaspoon
Onion 1 big sized
Ginger ½ inch piece
Green chillies 3
Turmeric powder pinch
Salt as needed
Oil for deep frying

Preparation:
1. Steam or cook the potatoes. Peel the skin and mash into it.
2. Cut green chillies and ginger into fine pieces or grind them. Cut onion into small pieces.
3. Heat a deep pan or skillet and two teaspoons of oil. Add the urad dal and mustard seeds when the mustard seeds start to splutter. Add the onions, green chillies and ginger , saute well.
4. When the onions become translucent add the mashed potatoes, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes in medium low flame. Switch off the stove.
5. Let the potato curry cool. Make small oval shaped balls or small balls.
6. Soak the bread piece in little water. The bread will become very soft. Cover the potato balls with the bread.
7. Heat a deep pan or skillet and add oil for deep and fry in the oil until golden brown. Serve with chutney or ketchup.

Bread Sooji Toast


Ingredients:
Bread 8 slices
Upma rava or Sooji 1
Curd or Yogurt 1 cup
Onion 1 medium sized
Red Chilli Powder ½ teaspoon
Salt as needed
Oil 4 teaspoons

Preparation:
1. Cut onions into pieces. Add sooji, curd / yogurt, little water, onion pieces, red chilli powder and salt. Keep it aside and for 10 minutes.

2. Heat a dosa pan and roast bread slices. When they turn golden color flip them over to the other side.
3. Spread the batter on the bread slices. Add ¼ teaspoon oil along the sides of the bread slices.
4. Gently flip the bread slices. Cook in medium low flame for about 3 minutes. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.

Bread Pongal Toast

Kids are very fussy about rice some times …. In general they like bread toast .. so we can a combo they will enjoy it ….
Ingredients:
Bread slices 2
Pongal 1 cup
Ghee or oil 2 teaspoons

Preparation:
1. Spread pongal on the bread slices.
2. Heat a pan or griddle. Roast bread slices on it in medium flame. Gently flip it over to the other side.  Spread 1 teaspoon of oil or ghee along the edges of the bread slices.

3. Cook for about 2 minutes and serve lot with ketchup.

Bread Dosa Toast


Ingredients:
Bread slices 6
Dosa batter 2 cups
Onion 1
Green chilies 2
Ginger 1 inch piece
Oil 3 to 4 teaspoons

Preparation:
1. Cut Onions,green chilies and ginger into small pieces and mix in the dosa batter.
2. Heat a tava and roast bread on it. Spread the dosa batter on the bread.
3. After is roasted on the front side gently flip over to the other side. Add about ½ teaspoon oil around each bread side.
4. Serve hot.

Potato Tomato Cinnamon Sandwiches


Ingredients:
Bread slices 10
Potatoes 1 big sized
Tomatoes 4 medium sized
Cinnamon 2 inch piece
Nutmeg powder or jajikaya
or japhal powder ½ teaspoon
Coriander powder ½ teaspoon
Pepper powder (optional) ½ teaspoon
Butter ½ teaspoon (optional)
Oil 2 teaspoons
Salt as needed


Preparation:
1. Wash the vegetables and peel potato skin. Cut potatoes and tomatoes  into small pieces. Heat a skillet or pan and add oil after oil is heated add the tomato pieces and after they turn soft add the potato pieces to it.


2. When the potato and tomato pieces are fully cooked add cinnamon pieces , coriander powder, nutmeg powder , pepper powder and salt and mix well.
3. After 5 minutes when they mix well switch off the stove. While making sandwich remove the cinnamon pieces the flavor will be absorbed by the curry that is used as filling sandwich.
4. Trim brown edge crusts of the bread slices with knife. Cut the into triangular pieces.
(Apply melted butter on all the triangular pieces . This is for better taste and optional. )
5. For making 4 sandwich take 8 triangular pieces and in a plate take 4 triangular pieces and stuff them with the curry that we have made.
6. Cover it with the other triangular pieces and keep them in sandwich maker and switch on the maker and close the lid.
7. After it is cooked on one side gently flip it over to the other side.

8. Serve hot with ketchup or sauce.
